The Luck of Good Health

I believe it's wise to do all that we can to stay healthy. This means eating right, exercising, keeping our stress to a minimum and surrounding ourselves with caring people. However, I also acknowledge that there are things that we can't change. Here is a small list of things that are generally beyond our control:
  • genetics
  • accidents
  • environmental conditions
  • natural disasters
  • disabilities 
  • death in family
  • economic factors
  • political unrest
It's important that we do all that we can to stay healthy and happy. There are many things that we can control. Yet it's also important to realize that our good or bad health isn't always deserved. So if you are healthy, don't be too arrogant. Rather, be thankful. There are probably a lot of great choices that you made to improve your health. Yet it's realistic to acknowledge that you are also blessed. Enjoy it!
